The Millau Viaduct is 2460 meters long and 343 meters high over the Tarn valley. This construction is known worldwide and one of the most iconic in France. Its structure, as aesthetic as resistant, was built with reinforced concrete and more specifically with BARTEC Company’s rebar splices.
In both heavy and specific technical conditions, and with increasingly strained deadlines, only BARTEC Company couplers have been selected by the supervising offices of The Great Mosque’s construction site in Algiers. No other competing product has been allowed to be used on the site.
The LER splice is a connection with adjustable spacing. It is AFCAB certified up to a 40mm diameter and has passed the BAM High Speed Tensile Test. The LER connection enables an easy resolution of the high technical and production rebar requirements. The “Groupama Stadium”, located in Décines-Charpieu near Lyon (France), is a perfect example of this product’s application.

The Piedmont Region Headquarters, in Torino, is the tallest building in Italy with a total of 41 floors and a height of 206 meters. This tower was built with some of the most innovating techniques, including some 150 000 BARTEC Company rebar splices, to reinforce the structure.

“La Route du Littoral” on the island of La Réunion is a 10-kilometre highway held by a 375 meters high viaduct and by a dyke. The viaduct’s arches were made, among others, with different sizes and shapes of BARTEC Company deviator pipes. These deviator pipes guarantee the strength of the prestressing cables.
